The story behind Local Draw

Hi, I'm JP. I've been hosting trivia for more than fifteen years, across California, Idaho, and Minnesota. I started out as an independent host with a microphone and a room full of strangers, and over the years I grew a small crew of hosts working under me across a whole range of venues.

More than trivia

Trivia is where I live, but it isn't the only thing I run. I've hosted music bingo, spelling bees, and plenty of private and corporate nights. I love every format, but music trivia is my favorite. There's a moment when a song comes on and the whole room starts singing along, and that is exactly the kind of participation I chase every night.

Why I built Local Draw

I built Local Draw because I know both sides of this table. I know what a host needs to fill a calendar, and I know what a venue needs to pack the room on a slow night. This platform is free for both. No middleman, no cut, just a place for hosts and venues to find each other.

My goal is simple. I want great trivia to be accessible in every region, and I want the match to work for the host and the venue alike.
